vCenter Operations Manager Beta course – My thoughts

Last week I attended the vCenter Operations Manager Beta course in Chicago with a colleague from my office.  Since I am fairly new to vCenter Ops and this is a brand new  (as in still beta) course, I thought I would share my experience.

First I would like to say thank you to our instructor, Mark Congiardo, who did a great job and was clearly knowledgeable about the product.  I would also like to thank Yves Sandfort, the creator of this course, for answering all the questions we had.  It was extremely helpful to have the person who designed the course on hand to talk about the product and the way the course was presented

Onto the content…  The class was very well laid out and covered the basics of understanding what VCOPs is all about.  There were a few people left wanting for more, but they were probably familiar with the product beyond who this class was created for.  I found it very helpful and learned alot about some things like customization and what-if scenarios.

I will let you know when the class becomes generally available.  Until then, you can check out some links to find out more about VCOPs, download the trial and watch the video from the course on installing VCOPs!  I was told I can only link to the video until the course is available to the general public, so take a look while you can :)
