I have a few Windows 10 LTSC 2019 capture machines (1809) and was getting error <strong>2755<\/strong> <em>unable to detect the file<\/em> whenever the installer would try to start a <em>.msi<\/em> file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I tried rebuilding, I tried disabling UAC, Windows Firewall, anything I could think of.  After a bit of internet searching I found several articles saying to remove<strong> KB4487017<\/strong> (February updates).  Unfortunately, there was no relevant KB to delete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After a few more frustrating attempts, I came across a post recommending  the following registry change:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>on the key  <em>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\services\\svdriver\\Parameters<\/em>   add the following to the  <em>HookInjectionWhitelist <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>*msiexec.exe ||*<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"960\" height=\"440\" src=\"https:\/\/www.indycloudcover.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/2019-07-23-09_29_11-Solved_-Custom-Appstack-_VMware-Communities.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-313\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.indycloudcover.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/2019-07-23-09_29_11-Solved_-Custom-Appstack-_VMware-Communities.png 960w, https:\/\/www.indycloudcover.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/2019-07-23-09_29_11-Solved_-Custom-Appstack-_VMware-Communities-300x138.png 300w, https:\/\/www.indycloudcover.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/2019-07-23-09_29_11-Solved_-Custom-Appstack-_VMware-Communities-768x352.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This solved it for my environment, hopefully it will help you as well!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Had another weird App Volumes 2.15 error recently.
